For the Brown Belts, here’s a new topic:

Brown016:What would you say to a passenger who is sitting near you on the train and start talking on the phone?

Have you witnessed your nearby passenger answer the receiving call on the train? I have several times.

In one of the cases, I was surprised at how careless they were to let their phone ring instead of setting the manner-mode. But not only didn’t they feel sorry and that they tried to stop their phone from ringing, but they actually answered it and began to talk with a normal loudness! I was both furious and astounded. Everyone near them must have listened to them and got extremely annoyed, but they din’t seem to care too much about being frowned at.

They had a brief talk on over the phone, concluding that they were on the train at present and that therefore they couldn’t talk too long. No way! I shook my head. You are supposed not to let the phone ring, answer the call, not to mention talking, which is a matter of course, or a the common sense we share.

Would you say anything to them or not? I didn’t. Why? Because I didn’t want get involved in an unnecessary trouble that may have happened. Well, am I qualified to state my opinion on this matter? Would you tell them? here!

Brown015:Explain your local custom or house routine around the obon period.

For the Brown Belts, here’s a new topic:

Brown015:Explain your local custom or house routine around the obon period.

In some regions, “obon” or “bon” period takes place in mid-July, while the others in mid-August. Imagami’s region is the latter.  We have the obon period from the 13th to 15th of August during which the souls of our deceased ancestors are said to come back and stay at home.  What do you do around the obon period? Introduce your case  here!

Brown014:What is your special summer plan? Tell us.

This summer I do not have any special plan to go somewhere. Presumably, many of you the trainees have various special plans. Please tell us about a bit of your plan. I might envy you for that.  Write here!

Brown013:Appeal your local firework festival to the other Dojo students. What special features does it have?

Brown013:Appeal your local firework festival to the other Dojo students. What special features does it have?

I posted an article about when I went to Awaji-shima island on the Dojo diary the other day. I failed to write about a firework festival that I came across when I was taking a short rest at a parking area near the site. I enjoyed the last entertainment of the day at Awaji-shima.

This Saturday will see the Firework Festival in Kobe where I live.  I got to know, with a little surprise, that the biggest firework festival in Osaka does not coincide with the one in Kobe this year. I understand it was a clever way to do so in order to avoid the both venues being too crowded because the both are very popular among the population in the overlapped areas.  Well, how busy will this time be in Kobe?

What is special and boastful about your favorite local firework festival? Mesmerize us by describing the scene here!

Brown012:What habit of your family member annoys you? How do you handle it?

Isn’t there anyone in your family who…
leaves the toilet lid open, goes out with the air-conditioner kept on,  makes gases all the time, walks around the rooms naked, makes a mess about his/her shoes at the doorway, tapping his/her foot repeatedly on the floor,or never smiles or greets? Who?  And what do you do to him/her?  Post your case here!

Brown010:What sports do you usually do/watch? What’s the “pull” of it? Explain.

Brown010:What sports do you usually do/watch? What’s the “pull” of it? Explain.

One of my acquaintances, who is 55 years old, told me the other day he was going to register for another triathlon event somewhere; he’s so athletic that I can barely understand how come. But these athletic events have become increasingly popular among ordinary citizens reflecting the rise of interest  in wellness. Now you must win in the drawing if you want to run in a major city marathon. Do you like to run,  or do you like to watch someone run?  Why do you think so? Besides, some of you may regard e-sports (online sporting games) as sports. What do you think about it?  Post your opinion here!

Brown009:What is your favorite TV program? Describe the program and explain why you like it.

I(Imagami) like manzai entertainment programs because I can forget worries and concerns for a while and feel happy. Generally, men seem to have less chances to laugh aloud without any specific intentions. What are your opinions? Post your favorites here!

For the Brown-belts: A New Topic Added.

Persuade him/her to accompany you for spectating Tokyo Olympic Games.

Good  morning, Brownies! Here’s a new topic for you:

Brown008:You want to go to Tokyo with your partner to see the Olympic Games on site instead of just watching them on TV. But your partner thinks the other way. Persuade him/her.

I wonder the Olympic Game Spectating Ticket winners are being informed individually in turns. I (Imagami) am really envious of the people who live within a day-trip distance from the venue, namely in Kanto area .  It seems quite tiresome and expensive for the people living in the remote areas because of presumably very high hotel room rates in Tokyo and nearby areas in addition to transportation fares from/back home. These tickets also need to be confirmed. Still some might think of spectating a series of exciting games on the very site at any costs. Imagine you are the one and your partner is not. How would you persuade her to come with you?

Please write here.

For the Brown-belts: A New Topic is about Japanese souvenirs.

What are the fine Japanese souvenirs for foreign tourists to Japan?

Brownies! Here’s a new topic for you:

Brown007:Give your idea and the reason to a foreign tourist to Japan about a fine Japanese souvenir.

“Kit Kat Matcha flavor” has been one of the best selling souvenirs for foreign tourists, I hear. Not only snacks and sweets, you can also name many interesting things that can be popular as souvenirs among them. Suggest them with some merits. Please write here.
