For Blacks: A New Topic Is Ready! Come soon and try it.

Black016:Do you think that, like most American ones, Japanese universities should start their academic year from September instead of April?

Black016:Do you think that, like most American ones, Japanese universities should start their academic year from September instead of April?

In some cases, the Japanese students who are admitted to enter the American University start an short-term intensive language  program around July to get used to the English language. But the difference of the starting month (and automatically the finishing month ) of an academic year often becomes a problem in recruiting as well.

Black015:What specific countries Japan should get along with from now on?

Black015:What specific countries Japan should get along with from now on?

A very bad mood currently lies between Japan and South Korea. The Trump’s America has pushed Japan to participate in the unified international security activities against Iran which he is planning to organize. He knows well that Japan has been getting along with Iran for decades and that Japan is under the restraint of any proactive military actions by its constitution. He even prepares to pressure Japan to burden itself more on the stationing of the US army in Japan. Can it be said that the two countries are the best partners? Still it seems that Japan cannot share its basic idea with China in terms of its sovereignty and human rights.
Well, which countries should Japan forge friendship especially with?
India? Great Britain?  Australia? Or Russia?

Black014:Do you think nuclear missiles can be eradicated some day? Discuss.

On August 6th, 1945, in Hiroshima, and on 9th in Nagasaki, the atomic bombs were dropped to kill hundreds of thousands of the residents there. Since then, nuclear weapons have been rampant and does not seem to stop proliferating.

While Donald Trump passed over the renewal of the INF (Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces ) Treaty with Russia the other day, DPRK set off some short-range missiles, which are capable of carrying nuclear heads, very frequently these days. Now the world seems to be going back in the history of denuclearization since President Obama’s Nobel-Peace-Prize-oriented Address in Prague, Czech Republic 2009, in which he, as a prime world leader, showed his commitment to eradicate nuclear weapons from the earth.

For Blacks: Let’s talk a bit about politics; a new topic is it.

Black013:If you had run for the Diet in the former election, what would your campaign promises have been like?

A general election of the upper house the other day proved to be an assuring victory of the ruling parties. It was interesting, however, that a newly organized impressive party won a seat(though I didn’t vote for it). The party’ s English name is “The Party of Protecting People from NHK“, according to NHK World (lol).

Their manifesto is crystal-clear; striving to enact a law that will ensure citizens to choose whether they pay for receiving NHK broadcasting signals or NOT.

What would your electoral pledge have been like if you had ran for the election?  What would you like to try to change or maintain the status quo? The new topic is as follows.

Black013:If you had run for the Diet in the former election, what would your campaign promises have been like?

Visit your training room to talk about that.

For Blacks: A New Topic about Plastic Shopping Bags.

Black012:All plastic shopping bags will be legally charged. Discuss the plastic matters.

Black012:All plastic shopping bags will be legally charged. Discuss the plastic matters. Do you go shopping to a supermarket with your own fabric bag, or ask for a plastic bag at the cashier? What should we do for a better environment? Write down your opinion about the enforcement of charging for plastic bags at shops here in your training room.

For Blacks: Examine A New Topic.

Black011:Do you throw away garbage separately according to the local rules? Show your pet theory on garbage.

Black011:Do you throw away garbage separately according to the local rules? Show your pet theory on garbage here at your training room.

My city asks its citizens to sort out plastic garbage and throw it away separately because plastics burn at a higher temperature than ordinary combustible garbage  and it gives some damage to the incinerator. Plastics should therefore be collected separately to be disposed of in a different way.  I don’t know if it is so.

By the way, have you heard about a special separation rules of garbage in a village in Tokushima Pref. where some 30 types of garbage are supposed to be collected separately? The villagers are now cooperative and the garbage administration is so successful that  many environmentalists and municipal officials from all over the world visit the village to acquire some hints.

What about your local community rules on garbage collecting? Discuss in the training room.

For the Blackers: A New Topic Arrives.

Black009:Pros and cons of the consumption tax hike planned in October and further down the line.

Black002:Why wasn’t so-called the “Premium Fridays” prevalent? Analyze it.
Black003:What would you suggest to maintain Japanese postal services?
Black004:Will AI(Artificial Intelligence)grow to become a threat to humanity? Why do you think so?

For the Black-belts:A New Topic Presented.

Black008:Give your ideas about the virtues and vices of hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Hi, black-belt trainees!

A newly born typhoon is passing alongside the southern coastline of Honshu, Japan. I (Imagami) hope there won’t be any serious damage tomorrow.

In Osaka, the G20 Summit takes place from tomorrow. I’m interested in the developing story between the two superpowers and in how PM Abe, as a host, will behave as a mediator who intends to lead the matter to the agreeable point.

Since last week the Black Training Dojo has been open for your comments concerning the  G20 summit as below.

Black007:If you were a political leader of the member country of the G20 summit, what would you like to discuss?

Meanwhile, 103rd Japan National Championships of track & field competition is currently being held in Fukuoka, which evaded a typhoon strike. June 28th is the day for the Final 100m man sprint (20:30-ish). The sprinters are literally the fastest guys in Japan  some of whom are expected  to be chosen as national representatives. It is highly likely that we will be able to see them in Tokyo Olympic Games.

Speaking of the Olympiad, a new topic is presented here;

Black008:Give your ideas about the virtues and vices of hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Now let’s go to the Black-belts’ Training Room to discuss the matter!
